The book
The fishermen haul it up not as a trophy, but as a curiosity—a creature they have never seen before. Stranger still is the relic caught in its teeth: a ring thought to have gone down with its owner. For Agnes Eckenrode, the discovery raises a question which consumes her—if the sea can return a dead man’s ring, what else might she convince it to give back?
A Feast for the Drowned is a gothic horror novel with a thread of romance—a story of appetite, desire, and the price of regaining what was meant to stay lost.
